    The * indicates a 1/2 facing size - so in the case of a tenor 7* (.105"), it is halfway between a 7 (.100") and an 8 (.110"). The * has nothing to do with quality. That's another discussion entirely when talking about Links... These are the specifications - the actual measurement can be off. Sometimes significantly, but normally close enough not to worry about it. Check out www.saxontheweb.net. There is a marketplace there where you can usually find a Florida Link without too much trouble. Post that you are looking for one and someone will likely find you in a few days' time. Good Luck!

      Thanks a lot, Im going to keep looking. Just to clarify, I know that the star refers to facing size, which is why I was so interested when I was told that they didnt play as well.' Thanks again Max

        Actually the 7* STM is the most popular facing...so it must play pretty good. Got that information from Jim Greene at JJ Babbitt...they make the Otto Link...
