      idk about playing quality, but i think they're cool. don't they just use a different laquer to get the color?

        those are almost as bad as those sons of bitches that make lamps out of saxophones, only later to find out from a horrified saxophonist that it was a Mark VI

        I have a curved green Selman Soprano purchased for $200 on ebay and it plays beautifully.

          regarding jbt's link GLOW IN THE DARK SAXES? WHAT BASTARD DECIDED: "you know what i need? i need a glow-in-the-dark sax to brighten up that bar room gig!" THATS AN ABOMINTATION NOT SEEN SINCE DISCO. i really want to meet that guy in a dark ally somewhere. could be a light alley, for that matte, because i would want witnesses to what i would do to the bastard. it would give it a charles manson-esque court case feel

            I have to agree with cuber on this one. Gold lacquer, silver, or even black nickel looks sleek and sophisticated. Glow in the dark neon green looks like a child's toy! Of course, I play an orange Gretsch guitar with a half-naked lady on it, but THAT'S DIFFERENT!

              conn m series have a naked lady on them, but that's tasteful. glow-in-the-dark saxes arent.
