sore throat

is it good to play saxophone if you have a mild sore thoat? i just want to know for future reference.

    A sore throat won't hurt your playing. If you take some codeine with a beer, it will help you deal with it.

      I dunno, man..maybe some herb tea with honey would be a better idea?

        Hint: a little bit of brandy will do the trick too. I got that tip from an old tenor player. Just don't play with a coughdrop in your mouth, lol.

          yeah, it's kinda hard to perfrom the heimlich manuver over a forum! i hate Hall's brand, so i use Ricola. of course, i don't know if they're available outside of TX, b/c i've never left the state. hope you feel better soon!
