Selmer Soloist

Anybody out there play a Selmer Soloist?? I have played one, but can not remember exactly how they play. How do the play? sound, etc.?

    Umm well the soloist is a mouthpiece that is good for both classical and jazz. It has better projection than the s80 and gives more edge to your sound. Hope this helps.

      I concur that the Soloist is a good crossover mouthpiece. It has more character than the S80, but the S80 was specifically designed to prevent character.

    I own a soprano soloist and it plays quite well. It delivers a very beautiful , sensitive sound, and is very responsive. Mine was originally a c*, but has been refaced to make it more open for jazz. It is probobly an F.
