tenor MEYER 5m mouthpiece problems

i just bought a meyer mp 5m no matter what i do or what reed i use it still sqeeks and chirps whats going on i have been using a selmer goldentone 3 and i can play soft, hard what but not with the meyer

    Using more mouthpiece with your top teeth might solve it. Sometimes new mouthpieces take a long time to get used to. Give it time.

    The rails may be a tad off, causing the reed not to seal right. Is this a hard rubber or metal mouthpiece? I'm not real familiar with meyer pieces. You may have to make some adjustments with the facing.
