Which is better for music, Ball State, IN or University of Indiana

I'm a skilled alto sax player in high school and setting my carrer path. I'm taking lessions from a professor at IPFW so i'm advanced in jazz and also want a good jazz program. Are those two schools good or should I be lookn at some where different

Not sure who is currently at Ball St, but you'll fine few better saxophonists than Otis Murphy @ IU.

I live by both of those. I actually recently visited IU, for a Herbie Hancock concert. I don't think either have really great programs, but I would say the better of the two would be IU. Doesn't Tom Walsh live down in Bloomington too? Does he go teach at the college any? He's a great saxophonist. He was at that concert too.
