I've played a couple of 82z's(different lacquers). It plays great, and I really like it. My only complaint is that it's hard to get it to sound classical. It's got a great jazz sound, but if you put a legit mouthpiece on it, it still sounds edgy.

I have the 82Z in silver, and I also agree with everything golferguy said. To some degree, they are a little too bright, but with the right mp, lig, reeds, and embouchure, too, a somewhat "warmer," classical sound can be achieved. I will never get anything else; they are the greatest saxes out and I fully recommend them to just about anyone.
