Tips for better searching

YAS-23

I have a Yamaha YAS-23 alto sax, bought new in about 1981 and now showing its age with a few scratches (but no dents) and a pad or two that (I've been told) come to rest slightly off where they should. I've been asked to come up with an asking price from a friend who wants to buy it (and had it checked out with a generally positive review) by a pro sax player. I have no idea what ballpark price range would be appropriate. Any thoughts?

    YAS-23? I would say 300 dollars at the very most. I would be prepared to go lower if they didn't want to pay that. It's the student model, it's over 20 years old, and some pads aren't sealing right. You're lucky to find someone who would want it.
