You haven't said how old you are or how long you have played the saxophone. All of those things need to be taken into consideration. Also if you are planning to go to college, major in music, or just play for your own enjoyment after high school. Many talented students "outgrow" their student model saxophone at a certain level and move up to a more professional model. If your sax is meeting your needs at the present time and you like the way it performs and sounds, then you are probably not ready to step up to a more professional model. When the time comes, you and your teacher will know it. You are fortunate that there are many excellent saxes on the market to choose from. John
