Old Meyer - New Meyer???

Guys, I love vintage gear like the next guy... but with Meyers still manufacturing mouthpieces is there any real reason to pay the premium for older gear? I see legact 5M's going for 200 - 500+ on ebay. It looks like I can get a modern one for around $90?? What gives. Brian
