does anybody know Rick Simerly

im starting a class with rick tomorrow. i was wondering if anybody knows him

          he is supposedly a famous trombonist y that does a lot of work with Jamey Abersold.

          Yes, I know him. He's a great player and one of the nicest guys. He's more importantly a great educator. What type of class? And yes he's a trombonist who's played with Woody Herman, Rufus Reid, James Moody, Jon Faddis, Bobby Shew and many others. Kristy

          yes. i agree. he is a great educator. he is teaching a jazz improvisation class were he teaches at milligan college in kingsport, tennessee. oh! and he is a hilarious person
