Selmer Paris sax

Hi, my name is Susan. I have been trying to research information (worth, history) on my late father's sax that he bought in the mid to late 1930's (so the story goes). It is in perfect condition. It has semi-elaborate scroll work designs. It is a Selmer Paris tenor sax. brev S G D G No 383.098 eng pat no 11.824 us pat no 2.090.011 499.98 Also, does anyone have any advice on how to sell a saxophone like this? Thanks
