Buescher Aristocrat Alto 1937

I recently found this vintage sax for sale, about 1500$. This horn has been completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled and then set up by Steve Giordano. Retains the Norton springs and original snap in resonators. Just wondering whether this deal is a good one or not. I currently play a Yamaha custom X and am looking for a different, more dark tone. Help would be really appreciated :)

Would consider a change of mpc. As for the Yamaha/Beuscher thing....i cant comment. I know nothing...r.e.....the two horns in comparison.1937, whilst not ancient, is still pretty old. Vintage horns can need constant attention. Little things. If you possibly can, keep the Yamaha as a workhorse, and buy the Beuscher as a second alto.
