sling use.

I have always slung my tenor real low. In bringing it up, mpc. tip comes halfway between lower lip and jaw bottom. I like to feel i'm blowin kinda down into the horn. I see players who sling high. Chu Berry....good example.....real high. Sanborn same. A "what works for you" thing......i suppose. High slingers.....let me know......why does it work for you?...regards

    Re: sling use.

I like slinging a little bit higher on alto and pretty high on soprano. But tenor I like dead center.

      Re: sling use.

I think it basically comes down to which sling position is most conducive to the most unobstructed path for the air. Doron www.bestsaxophonewebsiteever.com
