Saxophone Audition Thoughts?

I'm getting ready to audition for college on the alto saxophone and i have chosen "Gypsy Rondo" by Joseph Haydn. I'm just asking for your thoughts on whether this is a good selection for a college audition and if not, what should i try

Choosing the right piece of music depends on where you are auditioning. What are the audition requirements for the school(s) where you are auditioning?

You need to pick music that displays what you do well. If you can play the Rondo well, then it is fine. I would make sure you have contrasting music as well. James Houlik is a phenomenal player...I'm sure you will learn many things from him (granted you go there). I'm at Mansfield U and have studied both with Dr. Joe Murphy and Dr. Kevin Hoferer. Where else are you auditioning?
