American Artist Saxophone

I have an American Artist Saxophone that my Grandfather gave me years ago. The serial number is 10759. It needs some TLC and is missing the mouthpiece. I don't play so I'm not sure whether it's an alto or tenor sax, but it's about 27" long from end to end. It has a brass finish but looks fairly corroded - not sure if these polish up to look like new or knot. I'm just curious if this is something of any notable value and/or worth having serviced or sold to someone who would want it. Any comments appreciated - thank you!

Is this a curved instrument, or straight? (I ask because you said 27" from end to end, which suggests to me a straight soprano...)

It is curved - so about 27" ,excluding the reed, from the tip to the curve - then several inches back as well. Total length depending how you measure it would probably be closer to 40".
