What is my Conn Alto worth?

I have my Dad's Conn Alto sax. It has the famous "Naked Lady" engraving. Serial number is 6M E 323020 L. Any idea of year made and/or possible value? Dan

    Hi. Your alto is one fo the best Conn,s made. It was made in 1947. It is worth $1500 - $2000. Great jazz horn. I've played one. Don't sell it. Hornblower

    I have the  Naked Lady 6M E 320113, I believe made the first day of January 1947. as they made about 150 a day starting with serial number 300000 in 1947. I would like to sell for $1400. +minimal $ shipping.

      How is it possible to estimate the value of a horn based on no information about it's condition? This is a great mystery to me.....a horn that needs an overhaul is worth far less than one that doesn't, for example.......see my value guide at www.saxgourmet.com....be SURE to read the preface and adjust the value for anything needed to make it PERFECT
