Yanagisawa 901 black

Hi all I have recently aquired a yanagisawa 901black, and find the thickness of the sound a bit on the fat tubby side, not much edge, almost a French horn sound, especially in the bottom octave. I was wondering if anyone may have found the same. I use a selmer soloist c star. Thanks in Advance

Ignore all previous comments, sorry yanagisawa, I spoke far too soon, (operator error) I spent a lot of time playing & selecting reeds, and recording . I love the sound. As I do with my yani sop. Although it makes me think of a new sop in black. I have only had the alto since Tuesday this week, so I shouldn't have spoken too soon. Hope this might help if you may try a new black instrument and find similar on a first impression.
