GSA audition pieces?

Okay, so I have an audition for the governor's school for the arts in february and I need a piece that showcases my ability on the saxophone and expresses my interest. I just want a piece that I can play to rock the house, but at the same time is legitimate enough in either jazz or classical to be seen as a technical and stylistic complement. Please help?

Any Ferling PIece will do. There is a great book out now with a cd recording playing example. Also, you may want to look into the Intermediate Solos for Saxophone Book and CD. This is written by Larry Teal and every solo is considered College Audition Worthy. You can also try Bozza Improvisation Caprice (pretty hard) and Sonata #3 by Handel (should be appropriate).

    Hopefully, those will help

Good Times and Happy Playing . . ..
