My buffet tenor sax...help!!

So i was given this dust old extremely worn down tenor sax as a present. The only thing i can really see on it is its serial number 670426 and buffet evette barely, i have know idea if it is just an evette or an evette schaffer. Can someone please tell me the year this was made, a little more about this sax, and whether or not it it is worth it to get this sax cleaned up. Thanks!

    Can't make sense of that serial number with the charts either here or on saxpics.com.  If it just says "Evette," it is probably an Evette and not an Evette-Schaeffer.  Your first stop might be to a repair shop that can give you an estimate of what it would take to get it in good playing condition.  You don't want to spend more on repairs than the horn is worth.

    I'm not aware of Evette or Evette-Schaeffer being particularly valuable horns.
