New member: saxophone "feedback"

Hi!
I've played saxophone for four weeks now, and i don't have a teacher. I have practiced different jazz songs and i've really gotten into it fastly. Though, i have a big problem.
When i play, especially the high notes when i use the octave ventile, instead of playing the actual note, is does something that sounds like "feedback", like when you hold a microphone towards its speaker.  
I'm probably doing something wrong in my air blowing or my tongue, but i really can't figure out what the problem is..!
Do you have any advice?
