Is my sax vintage?

I have an old sax, made in Elkhart Indiana with the serial number 134088.
Its a Low Pitch with a beautiful engraving on the front. I can't make out the word above the location. It's silver (plated?) And very tarnished. I am in the process of cleaning it up.

id love to know more about this beautiful instrument...what year was it made?
doesmit have any value?
is there any way to trace he past owners?

any info will be appreciated.

It's a Buescher True Tone tenor saxophone from 1923.  True Tones are common horns.  If it were in top playing and cosmetic condition it might be worth close to a grand.  The 1923 keywork is primitive compared to that of the True Tones of just a few years later, so it is not likely to generate much interest from serious players.  Enjoy it, but don't set your value expectations too high.
