    Re: Instrument insurance

Clarion Associates is the best company for musical instrument insurance. Most professional musicians, orchestras, music instrument stores and anyone else looking to insure musical instruments use them.

You can also get musical instrument insurance through your home owners policy or sometimes even rental insurance if you rent instead of own a home. These policies usually work great if your instrument is stolen from your home or car parked outside your home. However, you may run into problems if the instrument is stolen at a gig or anywhere else away from home. Also, these policies don't usually cover damage, such as sax getting knocked off stage at a gig.

For the best protection, definitely call Clarion.

      Re: Instrument insurance

This company was actually at the top of my list as I was searching for one.  I just wanted to see if I was on the right track.  The issue of a home-based vs on the gig claims seems to be a tricky area.
