Probably technique! Work it out in the practice room at slower tempos and use a metronome to notch it up one click at a time. It takes a lot of patience to learn to play fast staccatos cleanly. Start by working it up on the same note, then bring the fingers into it by working it up on scales then broken thirds, etc.... You'll get it, just stick with it!
