Mark VII bore

I have been playing a Selmer Mark VII for the last few years. I purchased it on eBay to replace a stolen Mark VI.
I have been plesantly surprised by both the overall quality and versatility of the VII: great sound and projection when playing jazz on a metal Link 5*, beautiful legit sound with a Larry Teal.
My question is this; i have been told that this horn was manufactured with two different bores. How can I tell which one I have? The horn seems about as heavy as a VI, s/n M 266928.

    Re: Mark VII bore

The Mark VII was only made with one bore. The very early ones (in the 24x,xxx serial range) had transitional keywork. Perhaps your source is getting confused about this information. But there was only one bore throughout the entire run of Mark VII saxophones.
