buescher True Tone Low Pitch soprano serial number 233546

I would appreciate some information - I found this sax in my father's storage closet - He played it earlier in his life, not recently.  It is in need of pads and some minor key work - nothing major (according to a local instrument guy) - How do i find what key this is in????  What is a reasonable price to try and get for this?  Reconditioned or unreconditioned???

Made in 1927-1928.  Those are good horns.

Keep in mind that a dealer price is higher than a private sale price.  Yours would be towards the low end of the range because the silver plating is mostly gone.

I play a True Tone straight soprano from 1926. It has a beautiful sound, and with a round chambered mouthpiece like a Rascher is my horn of choice for legit playing. The only drawback for me has been getting used to the "button" G# key and some other differences in the mechanisim compared to more modern horns.
