Jazz Mouthpiece

I was thinking about buying a new Claude Lakey 5*3 hard rubber model for Jazz on my alto. Could any of you that have used this mouthpiece tell me your thoughts?

I'm pretty sure the lakeys are all plastic, or at least mine is. I use a 5*3 right now, and its pretty good-very bright and edgy.

wwbw has it listed as a rubber mouthpiece.

Well mine is definitely plastic...its easy to tell by a number of methods: warm it up and rub it, it should smell like burning rubber, or put your wet reed on, put the shank in your palm to seal the end, then suck until the reed seals to the facing (should work if your lay is correct), if it makes a high, tinny pop its plastic and if its a vibrant, low pop its hard rubber. Also, plastic is generally shiny and hard while hard rubber pieces are duller and a bit softer. It's strange wwbw would list it as hard rubber...i think the plastic adds to its projection, actually.
