new sax player

Hi! I'm new to the sax community and i'm hoping this "older" dog can learn a few new tricks. I recently purchased a Conn 20M directors alto sax in great condition that plays well. I paid $175 for it. Was that a good deal for a beginner instrument? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
