Selmer SE54 Early Model Tenor Saxophone

I am looking into the Selmer SE54 Early Model Tenor Saxophone, but I can't find any information on it. I would like to buy it, but I have to know what I'm getting. If anyone knows anything about this sax (especially if it's good for jazz) please let me know. I

    Thats a Selmer model 54, by the way. On the selmer site., there isn't a discription...

    If you are talking about a reference 54 model? I read some indepth feed back on the bench marks provided by some very good players and it's one of the wonders of the new line of Selmer Saxophones. I looking to add one to my collection....Really a great piece of art... God bless. Philo114

      Actually, the Model 54 is a Series II instrument. The Reference 54 is actually a model 74 (and the Ref 36 is a model 84). The model and name have no relation to each other, but it's confusing with the Model 54 / Ref 54 because of the same number. Eric
