DENTS (how bad are they???)

I just bought a Yas - 23 from a friend. The horn has two small dents on the curve at the bottom of the horn before the bell. It also has a very small dent on the neck right by the mouthpiece. To my eye they appear to be small, but I don't know what is considered big. How big of a deal are these dents? How will they affect my sax?

Generally, dents at the bow (bottom of horn) don't make a lick of difference as to how it plays unless the dent goes so far as to malign the tonehole - making it unlevel. Dents on the neck are more sensitive, but small dings are not normally of concern anywhere on the horn. How big across and how deep is the dent on the neck? I've played on some really ugly necks that sounded great on the horn.

The dent on the neck probably under 1/4" It's near the cork

Assuming you mean 1/4 wide, I'd imagine the dent is not very deep, and you're probably safe. If you can send me a picture, please do so and I can give you a more certain answer.
