Good music theory book?

Ay recommendations? Saw one I was going to buy from BNN tonight. It was a small book with good content that helped, but wanted to see if there was anything better before I buy.

    Alfred publications puts out a nice series for music theory. However, if you wish, go to www.musictheory.net and you can get a comprehensive, interactive music theory site for free. -Goodluck
