Conn?

Hey! I've been playing for 2 and a half years, am of reasonable standard, and own a new Temby Vintage alto. Lately I've been thinking of upgrading (?) to a Conn alto, seeing as I've heard quite a bit about them. Would such a swap be worth it? Any ideas would be appreciated

    Re: Conn?

If you want to upgrade to a Conn, I would recommend one of these models: The New Wonder Series II or Chu Berry (Great horn, very good sound, good intonation. Manufactured from 1925-1932.) The 6M (These had the underslung neck with the octave key on the bottom. Models made from 1934-1947 had rolled tone holes. Models made 1948 and after did not. Those made from 1948-1962 were some of the best players with the best intonation.) The 26M Connqueror (These are much more rare. Basically it's a 6M with a few upgrades. If you're lucky enough to stumble across one for the right price, BUY IT!) The 6M with the underslung neck would be my recommendation
