I want to get rid of a saxophone - what do I do with it?

I have a saxophone that acquired 20 years ago. I have never played saxophone and I don't nkow anything about saxophones. I am doing a house purge and would now like to get rid of it. It looks like it's in pretty poor condition (scratches, etc.) and hasn't been played in at least 20 years. It is a King Zephyr serial #349242.

I could use some advice on what to do with it.

Thanks,
Kim

There is a trading post tab here you can list it.

You could sell it locally on Craigslist

Avaoid selling and accepting simply a piece of paper that says Official check or Money Order.

Do not trust anyone you don't meet in person, unless you have paypal or ebay backing the transaction.

Depending on if it is a newer end of production or an earlier example will determine its value.

Prpbably in the 500 to 800 range

    Good Luck

Serial number puts it around 1956, not one of the prime years for the Zephyr but still a very solid horn and yours looks in pretty decent shape.  I think somebody will be very happy with it.

Hi; I'm new to the forum and unsure as to how quickly things turn around. I guess it depends on the item, the price etc. Is this gone ?
      Many thanks

If it were me, having and unwanted instrument, I'd have it fixed up and then donate it to a child who can't afford an instrument. A local elementary band teacher can usually help you place the horn.
