Depends on what your sound is like to start with. I've not found that one reso material makes a big difference compared to another. I've played horns without any resos that play bolder than ones with resos. So just understand there are more important factors like mouthpiece selection that give you your net sound character. Go with traditional brown plastic or seamless domed metal for what I think are the traditional or "spiffy" look.
