is elkhart (vincent bach series 300) a serious sax?

i mean,i'm a complete begginner student and i have the opportunity of get an elkhart (vincent bach series 300) soprano sax for 900 euros,but i don't know nobody that play sax in my town and i've looked by internet and i didn't found no information about this label,could someone tell me something about this sax?,is a good sax?,someone have said me that bis build by the same factory than selmer,is thruth?,i just want some information.Thank you in advance.
