Re: Ted Klum Mouthpieces
What kind of sound are you going for on the tenor? Is the Acoustmass like the Acustimax?
Anyways I have been fortunate to get to play a lot of Ted's pieces as they have come through the shop over the years and I have never seen him make a bad mouthpiece. His Focus tone tenor pieces in both metal and hard rubber are some of the best hand finished piece that are being made today. Extremely balanced from top to bottom and just generally very easy to play regarding clarity in projection, flexibility and the resistance/free blowing balance in they way they take your air. You can certainly count on his hard rubber tenor piece to have the same efficiency in response that you are most likely digging on the alto piece you have.
