I found an early Mark VII (1975) in its case. It is brown with no lacquer and pads are shot. Is it worth getting in playing condition?  I don't care about looks and I used to play a tenor Mark VII   I thought the tenor played very well. Any thoughts on this?  Thank you.

    Greetings-
Selmer Mark VII saxophones can be excellent instruments. Yes, definitely worth resoring as is just about any Selmer Paris saxophone after the early 1930's.

    Cheers,

Thank you Mark!  Now the big question:  re-lacquer and thin out the metal or just keep it "brown" and make it play well?
