What reed for vandoren v-16 t-7

I play the tenor and have a V-16 t-7 vandoren mouthpiece. What are some good reeds to try? I play jazz and am trying for a Stan Getz-Lester young feel if that helps. I am not sure about the mouthpiece but my teacher recommendEd it.

The java red box reeds work great on the V16 pieces, as do the V16 reeds. The Java green box is also very nice but they are a brighter cut which you might not want if you are trying to keep it on the dark side.

That is a good place to start. The Jazz Select reeds also work well on those pieces. The filed reeds are a little lighter then the Unfiled reeds. The unfiled cut also tends to be brighter in most situations.

Playing on a heavy reed might help with the sub tone sound Getz is known for but it will ultimately make the low register more difficult.
