Nope, you can't play chords on a sax. Sorry. You probably misunderstood what the person was trying to say. You can play different tones from a chord, ex: D7 chord=D F# A C.

Unless you're talking about multiphonics.... Not exactly chords but it's more than one note at once...

Practice your overtones series. I can sometimes get thirds out that way on one horn. Sorry Murph, I win on this one. **Disclaimer** do not tell parents who told you to practice overtones, no one wants to hear anyone working on those, without some earplugs, and a few shots of liquor to dull them from the sound lol but it sounds great when you can do them

Overtones are cool, and they help a lot with altissimo (discovered them about a week ago). I wasn't sure what exactly Bo was talking about; because he said chords i was thinking of chord symbols and all of that.

Use a Digitech vocal harmonizer. ;) You can't really play chords on a sax. Harmonic overtones and undertones, yes, but those are not really chords. Someone is pulling your leg!

Come on Jim, you're gonna ruin the fun!!! You should still work on the overtone series though. Its the closest thing to chords you can get
