Vintage Alto Saxophone Symphony Professional ELKHART 6610 Serial


Hello,

I purcahsed this today and dont have much information about the item. Im in the being stages of collecting old musical instruments, so I dont have much knowlegde of the item.

Was wondering... What year? Who makes it? Estimated Value? What coniditon is this sax based on pictures? Any other tips would be great! Thanks

    It looks derived from a 1920s to early 1930s Buescher design.  Elkhart was a budget line of Buescher

      I have read that Buescher bought Elkhart in 1928.  There were Elkhart models prior to that date, but they may have been Martin stencils.  Once Buescher bought them, they made Elkhart their student line.
