FOR THE SELMER JUNKIES!...is Refrence 54 a good sax

I play selmer and selmer only (tenor, alto, and soprano) and im looking in getting a new tenor. thats where the ref. 54 comes in. being such a beautiful, and magnifesent sax I would think someone on this fourum would have one. and with that I would like to ask if it is a good saxophone?

    I personally thought it sucked and it's finish is an ugly novelty.

          Of course, I'm being silly. My claim is that I thought the 54 sucked, which is true. Of course I didnt' like it, but what do you care what I say if you DO like it. :D

        I like the ref 54 !!!!!! I have three MarkVI'S and I thought it played nice. I also like the Keilworth Shadow.Best of luck to you :)

            i think the ref 54 isent that good. if i were u i get the ref. 36, and the rose gold looks asowem when the light shines!

              im sorry, my last post wsa cut off, when I say Reference 54 I actually meant to say modle 74 reference 54....and ive actually heard that the 74 54 was better than mark VI, and the 36.. yeah rose gold is beautiful on saxophones.
