Does anyone know what my Selmer Tenor sax is worth?

This sax has a number on the back... M 103936. It was refurbished about 10yrs ago and is in the Selmer leather hard case with custom space for the Selmer clarinet (can’t find a number but is is from Paris as well). It was my fathers and man...could he play it!

Here is a good example to compare retail to.

There are a lot of horns sitting on shelves in this price range. It all depends on condition.

    Good Luck

Also, there are two clip type spots in the case.  Above where the upper half of the horn lays. This is where you can place a flute in its concert type french case. This is considered a Tri Pak Case. Used by Woodwind players that played all three instruments in a dance band.

A very nice and desireable Tenor.

Great Sax! Its a Selmer Mark VI, one of the most desired vintage saxophones amonst players. Looks like it was relacquered sometime back which hurts it resell value. But its still a Mark VI worth a good bit. If you're looking for an official appraisal or if you're looking to sell it for a good price, check out this link on the Saxquest web site. Best of Luck!!
