Evette-Schaeffer Sax

I purchased an Evette-Schaeffer sax, number 31857. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Age? Quality? Where made?

The case says Paris, France.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Very common 1950s to 1970s student horns in Europe.  Not highly regarded for quality.  Earlier ones were made by Malerne in Paris. Later ones were sometimes French, sometimes Italian, or assembled in France from some combination of French and Italian parts.  They got bumped out of their market niche by cheap Taiwanese horns by about 1980.
