Looked  all the way around... nothing..no serial...just a company logo on the horn. It is dirty as hell but seems to be in good  condition https://autoclicker.pro/ https://wordunscrambler.onl/ https://jumblesolver.pro/.

Any other info is more than welcome .

It is a very primitive design.

    Keep looking.

Is there anything on the neck tenon?

Look at the underside of some of the side keys.

It is possible none were used.

Re: Help with this Beaugnier sax , no serial number?

It is only keyed to low B, not B flat. No key pearls. It is very primitive and would probably sound like a clown on a kazoo..

The no serial number issue tells me it is more a toy than a serious instrument.

It would make a wall hanging, but an ugly one.

Give it away and move on.

There is your reality concerning it.

Who would want it to play on?

Any POS would be a better instrument.

Like a Bundy or a Mexican Conn.

You wont get any feedback here.

Nobody uses this site seriously, unless you research old posts and the tabs that have informatio0n.

Re: Help with this Beaugnier sax , no serial number?

          That is awesome!

That explains it then. Why put a serial number on a one of a kind?

Are you selling it to one of them, or just interested in its value?

Primitive saxophone collectors are your source for selling it.

It would not be any use to a saxophonist playing difficult present day music.

But a collector would like to have it.

          Congrats!!

          Wow dude.

You randomly asked the world their thoughts.

I am sorry I was the only one with any.

One persons input is just an opinion.

What I did today? None of the world business.

Re: Help with this Beaugnier sax , no serial number?

          Nice and Thank you.

I was not aware you are in Hungary.

There were a number of instruments made in East Germany/ Russia/other Eastern German countries that may have made it to Hungary. There has been quite a history there since world war I. Anything could be possible with that horn of yours.

There are parts of the world were forgeries were made from more ancient tooling than the instrument may represent to a novice. It is keyed as a late version of the Edward Sax models, Adolph's son. Look under the museum tab here on this site.

So, you may just have something like a knock off.

The Saxophone is a very new instrument. The ones made at the turn of the century1900, are just 54 years after the original design and not taken seriously yet. It wasnt till around 1935 till Selmer came out with what is considered the acceptable key work of the current saxophone.

So, old does not mean valuable. They are not violins that have been made the same for 500 years. Everything from keywork, octave keys, toneholes, pads, springs, and bore size have evolved to make what makes a valuable saxophone.

Just a bit more information from

          THE IDIOT

          Good luck my Hungarian friend

Thank you for your reply, i know one thing for a fact. It is made in France, and it was purchased as a new instrument , but i cant say why there is no serial number? There were some repairs done on it  but the bill is unreadable , and its on French ..... thank you again for your reply.

older Beaugniers has the serial on the lyre port.  They did this through the 1940s before putting them on the back of the body around 1950 giveor take
