The engraving on bell says Selmer New York

Selmer New York is actually a stencil made by Buescher. It was not made by Selmer Paris. 

Would it be worth fixing this horn ?  I don't want to do a full resto just repair the pillar. If a full resto was done would the horn be worth the money put into it?  Is  Buescher a good horn? Thanks

Buescher made wonderful sopranos.

If you use a tech that is familiar with vintage saxophones, they may have the post in parts from old horns. We seem to gather parts after years of refurbishing vintage saxophones.

It should not be an expensive repair to solder a post the correct size in place.

But, it is still going to be a horn keyed in C, not B flat or E flat as a sopranino would be.

Would it be "worth the money to refurbish it"? Only to someone looking for a soprano keyed in C.

Most answers concerning what type of sax you come across can be answered with a little investigating on this site.

If you wanted to sell it and advertised it as a Buescher C soprano stencil horn missing a post, you would be able to sell it to someone who probably has the part and knows what they are getting into.

Thanks for the info , the "c" turns out to be best horn for what ill be using it for. Its kind of half flute half sax.
