Recommendations for Alto

Hello, started playing sax in 4th grade. fieat year on alto and year after switched to tenor and played tenor through High School with alto in a jazz band for time as well. I no longer own a tenor or an alto but would like to purchase an Alto to start playing again. I was wanting some recommendations on whether I should purchase a student model or since I've played for so long if I should get an Intermediate alto. Also recommendations on make and model. I am on a budget as well. Thanks for any and all responses.
