Elkhart sax wanting to know more about it !!

Hi there,

I used to play this saxaphone and wanted to find out a bit more about it .....I wonder hold old it is, its two colours gold and silver and has pearl finger buttons.

Im going to attach a photo and wonder if anyone knows a bit more about it that would be great i need to put a ptice on it to include on house insurance so help would be great.

It has a number on it 60844 and says made in GDR...Its Elkhart and distributed by Vincent Bach International LTD.  Not sure where to begin to get further info

    GDR means German Democratic Republic. East Germany

    1949 to 1990. Then Germany reunited.

    A stencil horn made by an East German manufacturer for Vincent Bach International LTD.

    That is about all you are going to find. It was probably made sometime after say 1970.
