Materials for Teaching

So I am a high school student who is about to start teaching someone to play sax. I wanted to know if there are any books or materials that would be beneficial for him. He already plays flute, if that helps. I have my old Measures of Sucess books from elementary and middle school, so I was thinking about those. If you have suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Materials for Teaching

The Rubank method books have been in steady use since at least 1940.

If he can already read music, start with the beginner methond and he will quickly advance out of it. He will soon see the similarities in the middle range fingerings on a flute.

Embachure will be the big issue to get use to.

    Good Luck
