backing track volume for outdoor gig/busking
Could anyone share some tips about audio setting of playing saxophone with a backing track outdoor/busking?
let say if i input a backing track in -5db max(using normalization with audacity) in a mixer Ch1,
play it in front of a microphone and input to Ch2, (noticed the max db is around -3db)
then the recorded output sound fine to me.
My question is , the mixing of backing track and microphone input sounds right in loudness, but if you play with this setting to some audience, will the sound directly came out from your saxophone make the audience feel that the backing track is too weak?
Should i turn up the backing track volume when playing in a school playground
or on the street?
