alto and tenor saxophone with the same serial number

I have a King Zephyr silver tenor and a brass alto sax from 1946 with the same serial number. The tenor was pro restored and looks and plays new. The neck and bell are polished silver and body is flat silver, The alto is brass with plenty of wear.  Plays ok. I am wondering what this pair of identical serial number saxophones are worth as I have never heard of saxes with the same serial number. I purchased the Alto in NY and the Tenor in Mississippi years ago. I was also wondering how to tell if the bell and neck are solid silver.  I have a Super 20 Silver Sonic Trumpet and it is marked Sterling and the Tenor is not marked but looks the same. I made a scratch inside the bell and it does not show brass.
